What if deleted items appear again?Sometimes when a negative item is removed from your credit report, credit reporting agencies will eventually verify the item and it will reappear on your credit report again. The newly enacted FCRA requires the credit reporting agency to inform you before the item will show up again. The FCRA also makes it harder for credit reporting agencies to re-insert listings. Due to these facts it is rare to see a listing come back after it was deleted.
If the item does not show up again, we will simply challenge the listing again for a permanent deletion.
